CITY WIDE CLEANUP -
Mon. May 21 - Fri. May 25 until noon - Discarded items need to be at curb for pickup. Refrigerators and air conditioners, tires are included this year. (Please no household trash)
NO BATTERIES OR HAZARDOUS WASTE (hazardous waste includes any household product labeled as flammable, toxic, corosive, or reactive. This includes aerosols, anti-freeze, asbestos, fertilizers, motor oil, paint supplies, photo chemicals, poisons, and solvents)
"FIRST FRIDAY, STARTING JUNE 2:
Every first friday of every month participating businesses will be open until 7:00 pm. They will be having store promotions and specials at this time. Stop by and "Shop Local"
CITY WIDE GARAGE SALE, SATURDAY JUNE 9
For a listing on the map or business sidewalk sale, Contact the Chamber of Commerce Office by Friday June 1. There is a $5.00 charge to be on the map
CRUISIN THE CENTER, AUGUST 11
Registration 2:00 - 3:30 pm. at corner of the Smith Co. Pioneer, Show & Judging, 3:30 - 6:00 pm, Cruisin' 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Free Drive-In Movie, 9:30 -?? at the Redmen Football Stadium. 17 categories. Registration cost is $15.00 for one vehicle, 2 vehicles $12.00 each, 3 or more vehicles $10.00 each. Pre-Register will receive a free T-shirt. Additional shirts available. THEME: "PRESIDING OVER THE PRAIRIE"
Come join in the fun starting with a Friday night beer garden, the band "Kill Creek Rising", open at 5:00. This year we will be celebrating the courthouse's 100th birthday, On Saturday there will be craft fair, parade, free BBQ, tractor show, tractor poker run and lawn mower races, bingo, free activites for the kids, BBQ Cook-off, then a beer garden Sat. night with the band "Sister Whiskey" playing.
