Affordable Health Act Public Education Programs are coming to Smith, Osborne & Mitchell Counties.  If you are under 64, own a business or are bewildered about what the Affordable Care Act will mean for you, this will be an opportunity to get some information. Smith Center City Wide Cleanup will be May 20-24, 2013.  Discarded items need to be at the curb by 8 am each day. No pickup will be made after noon on Friday.  Cannot accept batteries, hazardous waste including paint or tires.  Refrigerators and air conditioners must have Freon removed and be tagged. If the Landfill is closed due to wind, pickup will not take place. Call Chamber of Commerce office at 282.3895 for more information.

Smith County EMS fundraiser:  Friday May 24, 5-8 pm.  BBQ - burgers, brats, beans, chips. Silent Auction - donations from Smith County merchants and EMS supporters. Bake Sale - yummy homemade items.  Please consider supporting this necessary service in Smith County
